Local Foundations Add Additional Money to Habitat Oregon Fund

The Collins Foundation and the Oregon Community Foundation have invested $150,000 in the Habitat Oregon Fund, a revolving loan fund created to assist Habitat for Humanity affiliates purchase and develop land on which to build affordable homes.  The Collins Fdtn and OCF are following the lead or Oregon Housing and Community Services Department by investing in this fund.  Habitat for Humanity of Oregon, the state support organization, hopes to increase the size of the revolving loan fund to $2 million over the next three years, believes this fund will allow affiliates to build and additional Habitat 200 homes in the next six or seven years.
